5 Recalls to Know About Right Now

  • Multiple recalls affect cheese, nuts, nasal spray and appliances sold at major retailers nationwide.
  • Boar’s Head, Jeni’s, Wegmans and Walgreens products are being pulled from shelves
  • Walmart recalls camping stoves and warns of car kettles that may cause serious burns.

From cheese to portable appliances, there are a few recalls that you should be aware of right now. Some of these products were sold nationwide at retailers like Walmart, Aldi, Target, Kroger and more, so it’s worth checking your kitchen or home for these recalled items.

If you have any recalled products on hand, dispose of them or return for a possible refund. Let’s break down what to know.

Cheese

Boar’s Head has issued a nationwide recall of two of its Pecorino Romano cheese products—grated 6-ounce tubs and 7-ounce wedges—due to a possible contamination with Listeria monocytogenes.

Although no illnesses have been reported so far, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) classified it as Class I, meaning that the cheese has a “reasonable probability” to lead to severe health concerns, especially for older adults, pregnant individuals, young children and immunocompromised people. Those who have the recalled cheese are urged to discard it or return it to the store for a refund.

At the same time, more than 1.5 million bags of shredded mozzarella-based cheese sold at major retailers including Walmart, Aldi, Target and others have also been recalled due to possible metal fragments in the products. The recall affects 64 distinct products such as shredded mozzarella, Italian-style blends and pizza-style cheeses with “sell-by” dates extending into March 2026.

Consumers are advised to check UPC codes and batch numbers against the recall list, and any affected cheese should be thrown out or returned for a refund to avoid illness or injury risks.

Ice Cream

Jeni’s Splendid Ice Cream Passion Fruit Dreamsicle Ice Cream Bars have been recalled. The ice cream bars were sold at grocery stores nationwide, including Kroger. The affected frozen product has a batch code of “25-210” printed on the top of the 3-ounce boxes.

While no illnesses or reactions have been reported in connection to this recall, the recalled batch of ice cream may contain wheat and soy, which are common allergens undeclared on the packaging. Those with a wheat or soy allergy may experience a reaction as severe as anaphylaxis when consuming this ice cream. Seek medical attention if you are showing any symptoms.

Mixed Nuts

Wegmans Food Markets has recalled two varieties of its Deluxe Unsalted Mixed Nuts, according to a company announcement, due to a potential Salmonella contamination. The recall affects 11.5-ounce and 32-ounce (family pack) containers with UPCs “0-77890-42135-2” and “0-77890-42131-4” as well as lot codes “DC 58171” and “DC 58041,” respectively. The 11.5-ounce containers contain a best-by date of August 10, 2026, whereas the family packs have best-by dates of July 28, 2026.

Although no illnesses have been linked to this recall, Salmonella infection (salmonellosis) can pose serious health risks, including symptoms like diarrhea, nausea, vomiting or stomach pains. Consumers who purchased the affected nuts should not eat them. Instead, discard the products or return them to any Wegmans store for a full refund.

Nasal Spray

There’s an active recall on approximately 41,328 bottles of Walgreens nasal spray sold nationwide, according to the FDA. This is due to a bacterial contamination.

The nasal spray impacted is Walgreens Saline Nasal Spray with Xylitol, sold in 1.5-ounce bottles. The affected bottles have a lot code of “71409” with expiration date February 28, 2027, or a lot code of “71861” with expiration date August 31, 2027. Contact a healthcare provider if you’re experiencing signs of heightened illness, as the recalled nasal spray could contain microorganism Pseudomonas lactis, and exposure can lead to severe infection for immunocompromised people.

These nasal sprays were sold at Walgreens locations nationwide, so check your medicine cabinet and remove any affected products from your home. For questions about this recall, directly contact the FDA at 1-888-INFO-FDA (1-888-463-6332).

Appliances

More than 200,000 Ozark Trail camping stoves recalled for fire, burn and explosion risks, according to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC). This recall follows 26 consumer reports received by the company of the camping stoves catching fire or exploding, including 16 reports of injuries as severe as second-degree burns.

The specific stoves being recalled are the Ozark Trail Tabletop 1-Burner Butane Camping Stoves with printed model number “BG2247A1.” These camping stoves were sold at Walmart stores nationwide and online at Walmart.com from March 2023 through October 2025 at prices between $8 and $45. Stop using the recalled stove and return for a full refund.

Additionally, the CPSC announced an active alert on Blongky portable car kettles that may spew hot liquid, which can result in serious burns. The Blongky portable electric car kettles affected by this recall have a printed model number of “FCC 390 Pro.” They were sold online on Amazon, Walmart and third-party sellers like eBay.

These car kettles may unexpectedly spew hot steam or liquid, posing a burn hazard for users. This has resulted in nine injuries, including one second-degree burn. Check your portable kettle, and if it matches the alert information, stop using it immediately as a recall is pending.
